Maybe you felt the shift in the matrix last week when thousands of fanboys and -girls gathered in San Diego for Comic-Con, the annual festival of high geekery.

Author Leslie Esdaile “L.A.” Banks was there and was overjoyed to see an artist’s version [left] of Madame Isis, the sword used by Damali, her famous Vampire Huntress character.

Y’all, I have to admit that this sword looks mighty good. Of course, I am a big ol’ geek. Case in point: I once dated a guy with whom I had almost nothing in common because I thought it was cool that he had a replica of the Highlander sword. So, uh, take my drooling fangirl opinion on this with a Rick Ross-sized grain of salt.

But if you want your very own version of Madame Isis, you can order one. While supplies last, of course.

As you may have heard, Banks’s February release, The Thirteenth, will bring the Vampire Huntress Legend series to a close (sort of, since she’s spinning off young adult and manga series featuring the same characters).

Based on the schedule she’s put out, she’ll be working harder than Beyonce’s weave that month. She’s got a huge launch party planned that sounds so busy it exhausts me to read it, and I’m sure there will be a tour.
