- The Women on the Web (ladies of a certain age with a ridiculous URL) have a book section
- HarperCollins reports 3% sales increase for fiscal year ended June 30 compared with the same period a year earlier.
- How can authors balance writing and building their brands?
- Author Ta-Nehisi Coates, whose memoir, The Beautiful Struggle, is on my To Be Read list, is blogging about politics and sundry matters at TheAtlantic.com.
- Apparently, there’s a mini-boom in books about the Salem Witch Trials (psst, black novelists, here’s a chance to hop on that Tituba story).
- The 5th annual Black Writers Reunion & Conference will be June 18-19 at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. They’re looking for proposals for seminars and workshops for the conference.
